| Course Title: | Training program on Industrial Boiler Operation and Maintenance |
| Introduction: | The Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Moratuwa in collaboration with industrial partners has developed applied steam engineering programs with intensive practical sessions in the newly set up fully instrumented steam laboratory. The boiler together with steam distribution and condensate return system catering mini Rankine cycle power plant, steam apparatus test rigs and various processes provide participants a real-world steam engineering experience. |
| Course Objective: | Provide participants an understanding of the works related to Industrial steam boilers such as Boiler Safety, Legislation and Regulations, Commissioning of new boilers, Operation, Trouble-shooting, Inspection, Maintenance and Repairs. |

- Application form can be downloaded from the here OR obtained from the Thermodynamics Laboratory, Department Office , OR obtained from the Course Coordinator, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Katubedda, by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope 9" x 4" in size OR sending an email to the respective Course Coordinator/Resource Person.
- Duly completed application forms along with the copies of educational certificates and a copy of the National Identity Card should be forwarded to the Course Coordinator, Thermodynamics Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Katubedda. Please write the Course Title clearly on the left-hand top corner of the envelope.
- Alternatively, the documents may be scanned to PDF format and email to : thermouom[at]gmail.com
- Since the selection is done on first come first served basis if the applicant is qualified, a qualified applicant may not be selected for a particular intake that he/she applied for. However, such applicants will be given the priority in the next intake and they need not to re-apply.
- A selection letter will be sent to all the selected applicants and no payment should be made until such a letter is received.
