The IMechE Student Awards 2020 and Team FalconE Appreciation Ceremony were held on 31st March 2021 at the MELR 3 from 5.00 PM onwards.
The Vice Chancellor; Prof. ND Gunawardena, Deputy Vice Chancellor; Prof. PKS Mahanama, Former Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering; Prof. RARC Gopura, Vice Chairman of IMechE Sri Lanka Group; Eng. Lal Weerasinghe, Secretary of IMechE Sri Lanka Group; Eng. Preshant De Mel, Lectures and Presentations chairman of IMechE Sri Lanka Group; Eng. Chula De Silva and Eng. Ajith Shanmuganathan honoured the event with their presence. Young Members’ Chair of IMechE Sri Lanka Group and the Counsellor of IMechE Student Chapter of UoM; Dr. JR Gamage welcomed the guests. The awards were presented by the guests and valuable thoughts were shared by the speakers.
