Gemmology Diploma Certificate awarding Ceremony was held at the Seminar Room of the Material Science and Engineering Department on the 5th of April 2021, with the presence of Professor P.K.S. Mahanama, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Moratuwa, as the Chief Guest.
Due to the pandemic situation, the ceremony was held by taking extra safety precautions in the university, with only the presence of Staff and Students relevant to the course. Dean, Faculty of Engineering had sent his speech in the video format to grace the occasion. This is the second batch of students who followed the course, and 18 out of 20 students successfully completed the Diploma Course.
