Renovated Management Information Systems (MIS) computer laboratory of the Construction Engineering and Management Division at the Department of Civil Engineering was reopened on the 23rd of February, 2023. Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Prof. (Mrs.) Chintha Jayasinghe and Former Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ananda Jayawardane attended the event upon invitation of the Head of the Construction Engineering and Management Division, Dr. Lesly Ekanayake and celebrated the opening along with the academic/non-academic staff of the Civil Engineering Department.
The laboratory which underwent a complete renovation is now equipped with 20 new laptop computers with state-of-the-art civil engineering software. The lab also features a modernized layout and comfortable seating for 70 students with network facilities (both WIFI and LAN) to enhance the student learning experience.
The newly opened lab is currently used to conduct civil engineering software related lectures and practical classes for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition, the lab will offer workshops and training sessions to help students build their technical know-how and skills and gain hands-on experience with the latest tools and software.
