The survey lab of the Department of Civil Engineering is equipped with both modern and old survey instruments. The available modern instruments include DGPS, GNSS, total station, Digital Theodolites and auto levels. The older instruments include Dumpy levels, Engineers levels, transit theodolites etc., and these instrument provide more opportunities for Civil Engineering students acquire more advanced and basic knowledge on surveying field work. The survey lab is also providing knowledge on modern survey software such as Civil 3D, Surfer, Pythagoras, ArcGIS and LiDAR. We opt to provide consultant services related to surveying for the benefit of industry.
