Department of Civil Engineering has started a plantation program named "මොර සිවිල් තුරු අඹර" followed by several environmentally friendly activities from 15 June 2022.
The main idea behind this event is to preserve the environment and get the maximum use of unused lands.
The Department Civil Engineering staff and students planted several trees such as doorian, rambutan, mango, papaya, banana and nelly.
Academic, Academic Support and Non-Academic staff contributed to this in various ways while Departmental students also took part in the events.
Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Head, Department of Civil Engineering and many senior Academic Staff joined these events.
