On March 23, 2023, IESL Ruhuna Chapter organized an interactive session for the first-year undergraduates of the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. Eng. Sandaruwan D. Jayasinghe, Chairman of the IESL Ruhuna Chapter and a successful entrepreneur conducted the session focusing on "Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Civil Engineering Students".
During the session, Eng. Sandaruwan D. Jayasinghe shared his vast experience and wisdom, giving valuable advice on contemporary affairs in civil engineering and the entrepreneurial aspects related to the field. The session was highly interactive, with undergraduates engaging in a Q&A session that followed. Eng. Sandaruwan provided insightful answers to the students' questions, providing them with valuable guidance.
The event was coordinated by Prof. Udeni Nawagamuwa and Dr. Sampath Hewage, representing the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa and was supported by Eng. Janaka Gamachchi, Chairman of the IESL Young Members Section (YMS), and committee members of the IESL Student Chapter. The event proved to be an excellent platform for students to gain valuable insights into the vast opportunities available to them in the fields of civil engineering and entrepreneurship.
