A Final Year Civil Engineering Research Project has been awarded First Place for the Best Inter-University Final Year Undergraduate Research Project in Engineering 2021/2022 awarded by SLAAS

Mr. U.A.K. Premakumara from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa, has won the prestigious award given by the Sri Lankan Association for the Advancement of Sciences (SLAAS), namely the ‘Manamperi Award’ under the Merit category, at the 78th Annual Sessions of SLAAS. This award was presented for Mr. Premakumara’s final year project titled “Development of an Overall Construction Productivity Assessment Framework and an Improvement Model,” conducted under the supervision of Dr. C. S. A. Siriwardana at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa.

The ‘Manamperi’ accolade is awarded annually to the most outstanding undergraduate Engineering Research Projects carried out at a Faculty of Engineering in a Sri Lankan University, allowing young undergraduates of engineering in Sri Lanka to present their novel solutions for the pressing issues in Sri Lanka.
