Dr Loshaka Perera from Singhalese Sports Club (SSC), who is also a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa was ranked # 5 in the 2022 National Masters Snooker Championship concluded in August 2022. The championship was organized by the SSC and was played for the Ameen Bhaila Challenge Trophy Sponsored by Comfy smart wear. The tournament was conducted by the Billiards & snooker Association of Sri Lanka (B&SASL).
Loshaka Perera ranked #3 in the 6 Reds Snooker in 2015 and represented Sri Lanka in the World 6 Reds Snooker Championship held in Pakistan in the same year. In addition, he is a former National Snooker Player and has won many tournaments and he remain as the champion at UOM Staff Welfare Tournament.
Dr Loshaka is qualified to participate in the World Masters Team Snooker Championship in Malaysia in September and World Masters Snooker Championship in Turkey 2022. We wish him all the best!!
