DoCE Warmly Congratulate Dr. H. R Pasidu, who has been appointed as the Director of ERU at the University of Moratuwa!
Dr. H. R Pasidu, Senior Lecturer of Department of Civil Engineering at University of Moratuwa has been appointed as the Director of Engineering Research Unit (ERU) of Faculty of Engineering.
ERU was set up in the late 80s with a view to disseminate the knowledge gained through research carried out at the Faculty of Engineering to the Scientific Community at large, and to promote research among Faculty members and Graduate Students. ERU organises the flagship International Multidisciplinary Engineering Research Conference, MERCon, which has been held over seven times with the presence of eminent academics from all over the world.
Dr. Pasindu is an expert in transportation engineering, an international award-winning scholar who works closely with local and international collaborators, researchers, and academics. In addition to his current position at the University, he is volunteering to uplift national road safety in the country by advising as a committee member to the National Council of Road Safety Sri Lanka.
