H.H.N.D. Haggalla of 2015 batch of Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa, won the Migara Ratnatunge Trust Award (All island 1st place - Category A) for the year 2019/2020 which was awarded by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) for the best trainee civil engineer who portrayed excellent performance at Industrial Training.
R.M.A.G.B. Rathnayake from the same batch won the merit award (Category B) and his civil engineering batch mates S. Gajanan and K.B.S.L. Madushan received certificates of participation (Category C) which were awarded by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL).

H.H.N.D. Haggalla received the cash and award certificate for the main award from the IESL committee president, Eng. Prof S.B.S. Abayakoon which was presented at the IESL Induction and Graduation Ceremony 2020 that was held on September 26, 2020 at the Main Hall of the BMICH.
