The annual general meeting of the Civil Engineering Society (CES) for the year 2022 was conducted on the 28th of April, 2022 from 5.00 pm onwards virtually via Zoom.
New Office bearers of the CES were appointed from both the second- and third-year students. The appointed chief office bearers are Mr. Malith Pehesara (President), Mr. Dhyan Chandeepa (Secretary) and Mr.Sasith Anupama (Junior Treasurer).
Prof. (Mrs.) C.Jayasinghe (Head of the Department), Dr. Pasindu Weeerasinghe (Students’ Advisor) and Dr. Loshaka Perera (Senior Treasurer) shared their thoughts regarding the CES, extending their heartiest greetings to the new office bearers.
A video on “Milestones of 2021 - 2022” reflected the memories of the past year. A delightful entertainment item performed by the second-year students showcased their multiple talents. A key highlight of the event was the launch of the first ever newspaper of the CES.
