With reference to the mission statement of the University, the program educational objectives (PEO) of the Civil Engineering programme are the following essential components of a successful engineer that its graduates could demonstrate within five years after graduation.
- PEO1.Graduates will serve the profession, community and nation and meet the expectations of their employers.
- PEO2. Graduates will assume/undertake leadership roles in their communities, as well as in their profession.
- PEO3. Graduates will pursue advanced studies if they wish to and pursue excellence in research to become researchers/academics.
- PEO4. Graduates will be competitive in the international arena.
- PEO5. Graduates will be able to make their mark by starting companies, inventing technologies, and making creative contributions in every profession.
The achievement of PEO's are assessed through the following methods,
- industry survey (measuring PEO 1).
- graduate employment surveys (measuring PEO's 2, 3, 4).
- survey on students who are doing PG studies (measuring PEO 3 and 4).
