For M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering and Management
- The Degree of Bachelor of the Science of Engineering of the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, or an equivalent degree in a relevant field as judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate.

- At least the Associate Membership of a recognized professional Engineering Institute in a relevant field and minimum of one-year relevant experience after obtaining such membership, the acceptability of the Associate Membership status of the candidate, the recognition of the institute and relevancy of the field for this purpose shall be judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate.
For M.Sc. in Environmental Management
- A degree in Science from a recognized university and a minimum of one-year of appropriate experience; the recognition of the degree to be judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate.

- The Degree of Bachelor of the Science of Engineering of the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, or an equivalent degree in a relevant field as judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate.

- At least the Graduate Membership of a recognized professional science institute deemed equivalent to a Bachelor of Science Degree in a relevant field and minimum of one-year relevant experience after obtaining such membership, the acceptability of the Graduate Membership status of the candidate, the recognition of the institute and relevancy of the field for this purpose shall be judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate.
