Timber In Structures

t

Usage of timber as construction material dates back to many centuries and proper design and usage will lead to economical, durable and sustainable structural solutions. The research done in this group primarily focuses on usage of timber in structures, within the local context. Key research topics include characterization of local timber, cost effective use of timber (in the form of built-up beams and columns), be-havior of bolted connections in timber and alternative use of timber in structures.
