Energy Geotechnics

FOCUS AREAS

Our main focuses are: behaviour of soils and rocks under complex and extreme conditions involving coupled mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, and geochemical processes, recovery and characterization of existing and new energy resources, storage of energy in the subsurface in different forms and containment of carbon waste in engineered systems.
