The Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Moratuwa welcomed the 2025/26 intake of the MSc/PG Diploma in Sustainable Process Engineering today, bringing together a vibrant group of professionals focused on sustainability in the industry.
The event featured an insightful panel discussion titled “Reinventing the Process Industry for Sustainability and Beyond…”, moderated by Prof. P. G. Rathnasiri. Industry leaders including Mr. Indika Padma Kumara (Unilever), Mr. Rushanth Chandrabose (Waste to Value Pvt Ltd), and Mrs. Prashani Illangasekera (Hayleys PLC) shared real-world strategies and insights on sustainable transformation.
The session highlighted the importance of academic–industry collaboration and the role of universities in driving innovation and change in the process industry.
