Computer Aided Chemical and Process Engineering Centre

The computer-Aided Process Design/Computer-Aided Modelling (CAPD/CAM) centre facilitates the studies with hands-on experience in engineering drawing, process modelling, and process simulation applications. It is being used to offer the undergraduates/post-graduates to practice a wide range of software packages, such as MS Office package, BricsCAD, Aspen Plus/Hysys, GNU Octave, Scilab, BioWin, DWSIM, OpenLCA, R software and RStudio, and many other engineering software tools that are particularly useful in the industry related to Chemical and Process Engineering. In addition to the department-maintained desktop computers, the CAPD/CAM centre has the facility of a learning environment for the students to plug their own laptop to the university network and engage in the academic activities with internet access to gather necessary resources for their studies.
