Mr. Pamal Rojitha Nanayakkara (Graduate from 17 Intake) won the 2022 Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Best Research Award for his undergraduate research study titled “A circular reverse logistics framework for handling e-commerce returns”. His research was supervised by Senior Lecurer, Dr. Amila Thibbotuwawa from the Department of Transport & Logistics Management, Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa. The event was held as an online event and 10 students who got highest results for the final year research project were presented their research. Mr. Nanayakkara’s study proposes a three stage circular reverse logistics framework for handling e-commerce returns. The findings of this study will help the decision makers in e-commerce firms to embrace circular economy and optimize the reverse logistics network, while handling product returns.
