The finale of the “BrainWave 22/23” case study competition organized by the Society of Transport and Logistics was successfully held on the 22nd of March 2023 at the TCP Auditorium, University of Moratuwa. The case study was based on the Vegetable Supply Chain in Sri Lanka and 45+ teams from across Sri Lanka representing eight universities participated in this year's competition.

In the first round, teams were asked to identify ten issues in the vegetable supply chain and to rank them using a ranking methodology of their choice. In the second round of the competition, selected teams were taken on a field visit to the Manin market in Peliyagoda to give them first-hand experience with the vegetable supply chain operations, and they were asked to make a short video based on their observations during the field visit about what they think as the most critical issue in Vegetable Supply Chain in Sri Lanka stating clear facts and proof. In the third round, 5 finalist teams were encouraged to think as entrepreneurs and to develop business solutions for their identified issue in round 2. Throughout these three rounds, numerous supportive sessions were held physically and virtually to improve participants' knowledge about vegetable supply chain and entrepreneurship.
