The Department of Transport & Logistics Management in Collaboration with John Keells Holdings, organized the English Immersion Camp with the intention of improving the communication skills of 21 intake undergraduates. The camp was conducted as two sessions in two weeks, starting from 13th February to 24th February 2023. During the period, students were given different interactive English language-based tasks to perform. The facilitators of the Gateway Language Center conducted the both sessions.
The Department of Transport & Logistics Management in collaboration with the Borderlands Sri Lanka, conducted the Outbound Training Program for the 20 Intake undergraduates. The program was held from 22nd February to 24th February at the Borderlands premises in Kithulgala. Students were involved with many interactive activities such as canyoning, fire camp, trust-building games and meditation sessions during the period. The learning outcomes of this program include conflict resolution, identifying own strengths and weaknesses, identifying personal temperaments and the importance of having a diversified team.
