Moratuwa University Textile Association (MUTA) successfully organized the Toastmasters’ speechcraft program of the Colombo Toastmasters Club for the undergraduates of the Department of Textile and Apparel Engineering. It had been an eventful two and a half months of duration, which showcased the complete transformation of 54 undergraduates who exhibited self-confidence during the program. The batch was divided into two groups and coordinated and guided by TM Rameshkumar Karuppiah and TM Iresha Mahakumara. The grand finale and the award ceremony were held on Thursday, 12th January 2023, from 4.30 pm – 9pm at the auditorium of the Department of Textile and Apparel Engineering. MAS Capital (pvt) Ltd and MUTA jointly sponsored the program in 2022. Mr Priyantha Fernando, Director - Group Operations, MAS Capital (pvt) Ltd graced the occasion as the chief guest. Students utilized this opportunity to develop many skills collaboratively including leadership, planning, organizing skills, and teamwork during their role plays and demo speeches.
