The Weaving laboratory is equipped with very advanced and sophisticated machinery. The entire line of weaving and weaving preparatory machines to the weaving laboratory was donated by JICA to the Department.
The laboratory can accommodate approximate 25 students at a time. The students are made to practise on all the equipment at some stage of their academic programs. The weaving laboratory is used by B.Sc.Engineering students during weekdays. On weekends participants of the extension courses to the garment industry visit the laboratory to upgrade their knowledge of weaving.
