Dr Sumith Gopura from the Department of Textile and Apparel Engineering virtually presented his ongoing research work on the “TextileR and Fashion Research”seminar held on 18thMarch, 2021 at The Hut (Design Lab), Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. Dr Gopura’s current research seeks the fashion and design education approaches with a special interest on global apparel value chain and mindful making in the craft sectors of the country. Alongside, Dr Ayesha Wickramasinghe also presented in the seminar on her work related to the studies of craft and handloom sector in Sri Lanka. Ms Shashiprabha Thilakarathne, current PhD research student took- part in this seminar presenting her ongoing PhD research work. Her PhD is supervised by Dr Gopura, Dr Ayesha and Dr Alice Payne from QUT.
