Mrs. S W N A Samaraweera, Technical Officer Department of Textile & Apparel Engineering, has successfully completed the ITEC program on Textile Testing & Quality Control held from 3rd October – 11th November conducted by the South India Textile Research Association, Coimbatore under the auspices of the ITEC program, Development Partnership Administration, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
The knowledge gained from this program is very useful in educating Fashion Design and Product development Students on fabric sourcing and testing. The program was instrumental in obtaining overall exposure on current practices of testing in India and cultural exchanges via study tours. In addition, the ITEC program has helped to make international collaborations on textile and apparel design. The ‘Textile testing & Quality control’ training program is very valuable and excellent course.
