Four staff members of the Department of Textile & Apparel Engineering were among those who received awards for long service at a ceremony held at the James George Hall on January 01 2024. Prof Sandun Fernando was felicitated for completing 30 years service to UoM during the year 2023, while Prof Sanath Jayawardene and Eng SN Niles completed 25 years service to UoM during 2023. Mr PGC Wiranjeewa, laboratory attendant, also completed 25 years service in the state university system and was felicitated for the same at the ceremony.
The Department extends its congratulations and thanks to Prof Fernando, Prof Jayawardene, Eng Niles and Mr Wiranjeewa for their contribution to the University and Department, and wish them many more years of fruitful service.
