The INGENIUM Technology lab was declared open by Mr. Rajiv Dharmendra – Chief Executive Officer of MAS Intimates and Prof. N. D. Gunawardena-the Vice Chancellor of University of Moratuwa on 12-Oct.-2022. This laboratory was established with the financial assistance from MAS Intimates (pvt) Ltd. This laboratory symbolizes the valuable contribution of the past-graduates (of the Department) to MAS Intimates and to the textile and apparel industry in Sri Lanka. With the inception of the new lab, the training capacity on bonding technologies is enhanced to a new level and the current undergraduates will be able to reap the full benefits of the lab with up-to-date technology. The opening of this Lab will be the beginning of a special partnership with MAS Intimates and Department in the years to come and this will strengthen the collaborative efforts between the two entities. In addition, it is envisaged that this lab will act as a research center to provide solutions to industrial technical problems related to bonding technology
