COURSE STRUTURE
This training programme is designed for construction industry practitioners to train in taking off measurement using modern software while adopting a standard approach. The programme is conducted by a team of highly qualified university lecturers. This is a weekend (part-time) fee levying programme. The objective is to enable qualified practitioners to participate in a programme leading to the award of the University's Certificate in Fundamentals of Modern Quantity Take-off Software.
OBJECTIVES
To train industry practitioners on taking off measurement using modern software like iTWO Cost-X, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam. Upon successful completion of the course participants will be able to measure drawings through modern taking off software in accordance with the suitable method of measurement.

COURSE OUTLINE
- Introduction to BIM Estimating solutions – iTWO Cost-X
- Cost-X - Dimension setting, 2D taking off, measurements of length, area, counts, 3D taking off, workbooks, Auto revisions, 2D/3D Models.
- Cost-X – Report generation, Advance Viewing tools, In built templates, Network Capabilities, iTWO CostX viewer
- Introduction to automated taking off software – PlanSwift.
- PlanSwift - Create custom assemblies, Import Excel Items, Calculate Labour, Material and Taxes, create custom formulas, includes standard reports, Create unlimited number of custom reports, Add Markup Percent, Manual Adjustments
- Introduction to automated taking off software – Bluebeam.
- Bluebeam - Mark up tools, Measurement tools, Annotations
