Mr. Lakshitha Fernando, a research assistant at the Department of Building Economics, received the People’s Choice Award at the 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition during Research Week 2024. The research week, which took place from 3rd to 12th December 2024 at the university premises, featured the 3MT Competition as one of its many segments aimed at showcasing diverse research initiatives. Mr. Fernando’s presentation resonated with attendees, reflecting both his dedication to effective research communication and the department’s commitment to fostering strong academic skills among its members.
