On 26th October 2024, the Department of Building Economics organized a guest lecture for Level 01 undergraduates on the topic Introduction to Road Construction. The session was delivered by Ch. QS. Pamal Nirosha Dilshan, a Senior Quantity Surveyor at CEYLEX Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd, Colombo. Ch. QS. Dilshan shared his industry knowledge, focusing on the key aspects of road construction and the essential role of quantity surveyors in such projects. His practical insights provided students with a deeper understanding of the construction process and its impact on infrastructure development.
