The Career Guidance Unit at the University of Moratuwa recently organized a comprehensive Leadership Development Programme for final-year undergraduates of the Department of Building Economics. Held on 14th May 2023, the all-day session aimed to enhance the soft skills of students who will soon embark on their professional journeys in the industry.
Led by two experienced Career Guidance Counsellors, the programme provided a valuable opportunity for students to develop essential leadership qualities and capabilities. Through a series of interactive workshops, discussions, and practical exercises, participants were exposed to various aspects of leadership, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
The session not only equipped the students with valuable soft skills but also instilled in them a sense of self-confidence and a strong foundation for future professional growth. The programme's hands-on approach fostered a dynamic learning environment, allowing students to apply their newfound skills in real-life scenarios.
