Honika Jayaranga was awarded University Colours at the XV Sri Lanka University Games (SLUG) 2025, celebrating a remarkable milestone in her athletic career while proudly representing the University of Moratuwa. She brought honour to the university by recording the best timings in both the women’s 400m and 800m events, that set new standards and established records at the University of Moratuwa that have remained unbeaten since 2015. Her 400m race further marked her personal best, highlighting her commitment and sporting talent.
In recognition of these exceptional achievements, Honika received University Colours for the 400m and 800m events, as well as for her valuable contribution to the 400m relay team.
