On 10th December 2024, a guest lecture on Tender Evaluation was organized for Level 02 Quantity Surveying undergraduates of the Department of Building Economics. The session was conducted by Ch. QS Devika Liyanage, an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field. Held in the 1D Lecture Hall of the Building Economics New Building, the lecture delved into the core principles of tender evaluation and provided practical insights into common evaluation methods and best practices. By bridging theoretical concepts with real-world applications, the session emphasized the significance of accurate tender evaluation in successful project delivery. Students benefited from the opportunity to engage with an industry expert, ask questions, and gain a clearer understanding of the tendering process, further enhancing their preparedness for future professional endeavors in the construction sector.
