In a dynamic learning experience, Level 01 Quantity Surveying students from the Department of Building Economics embarked on a field expedition on August 13th and 14th, 2023. Their journey led them to the picturesque locations of Kandy, Randenigala, and Mahiyanganaya.
During this enriching excursion, students gained invaluable insights into real-world construction and infrastructure projects. They had the privilege to visit the Hill Top Hotel construction project in Kandy, where they witnessed the intricacies of on-site construction processes.
Additionally, their visit to the Randenigala Dam and power station provided a firsthand understanding of large-scale infrastructure management.
The knowledge acquired during this field expedition will serve as a solid foundation for their academic endeavors, bridging the gap between theory and practice and nurturing the future leaders of the Quantity Surveying field.
