Mr. Gemunu Nanayakkara, the Building Information Modelling (BIM) Leader of Pell Frischmann, United Kingdom - one of UK's leading firms of consulting engineers, with major operations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia, visited the Department of Building Economics on 11th January 2017. A guest lecture about BIM, standards used in BIM practice, history of their development and reasons for their development was organized for the benefit of the Level 4 undergraduates of the Department in line with the visitation. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Gemunu Nanayakkara and Ch.QS. Suranga Jayasena (Senior Lecturer, Department of Building Economics) on the same date at the Department of Building Economics.
