The Department of Building Economics organized field visits to help students gain a practical experience in various aspects of Quantity Surveying and Facilities Management. The first was to Colombo – Altair project, Havelock city Project and Kelaniya on 01st July and 08th July 2019 for Level IV Quantity Surveying students. Next, the Level I Facilities Management students field visited Colombo Port City Project on 26th August. This visit gave useful exposure to students to understand different types of civil engineering construction. Finally, the level 1 students of Facilities Management organized a field visit to Colombo Fire Service Department on 05th August.
