A book titled "Cost studies of buildings" co-authored by Prof. Srinath Perera and Prof. Alan Ashworth, was launched at the boardroom of the Faculty of Architecture. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ananda Jayawardena was the chief guest of the occation. Dean of Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Lalith De Silva, Emeritus Prof. Chitra Weddikkara, President of Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (IQSSL), Mr. Nishantha Wickramasinghe and the academic staff of the Department of Building Economics also participated to the occasion. The first copy of the book was presented to Prof. Ananda Jayawardena, and complementary copies were presented to the Department and to IQSSL by Prof. Srinath Perera.
Prof. Srinath Perera is the Chair Professor of Construction Economics at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle, UK. He also was a former senior staff member of the Department of Building Economics.
