86th BEMRU Colloquium on Circular Economy and Computer Vision

On 13th December 2024, the Department of Building Economics organized the 86th BEMRU Colloquium, focusing on bridging research gaps in circular economy through computer vision and spatial analysis. The session was conducted by Mr. Rajaratnam Dilakshan, a PhD scholar at the School of Engineering, Griffith University, Australia. During his presentation, Mr. Dilakshan highlighted the key research gaps within the circular economy framework and demonstrated how computer vision techniques, combined with spatial analysis, could be used to address these challenges effectively. The event took place at the department auditorium and was well-attended by academic staff and research assistants. Participants engaged in insightful discussions on the potential applications of these technologies, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
