On April 24, 2024, the Department of Building Economics hosted the 82nd research colloquium organized by the Building Economics and Management Research Unit (BEMRU). The colloquium featured a distinguished guest lecture by Associate Professor Gajendran Thayaparan from the University of Newcastle, Australia, who spoke on "Construction Industry and Research Impact from an Australian Perspective." This session was particularly aimed at staff and research students, providing a platform for deepening their understanding of contemporary construction practices and research contributions within the Australian context.
