10th Annual Conference of the Department of Earth Resources Engineering of the University of Moratuwa was held on 8th July, 2016 at Sri Lanka Foundation Colombo-7 under the theme “ Earth Resources Management”.
Conference proceedings were commenced with lighting of the traditional oil lamp and playing the national anthem. The inaugural session was launched with the distinguished participation of the Mr.David Lees (Consultant, Uma Oya multipurpose design project), Chief guest and the key-note speaker, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. K.K.C.K. Perera, Head of the Department of Earth Resources Engineering, Dr.H.R.M. Premasiri and Professor P.G.R.Dhramarathna, Senior professor, Department of Earth Resources Engineering and a gathering of academics, industry professionals and students. The three sessions followed saw the culmination of final year student research in the field of Earth Resources Engineering during the year, where the students showcased their research findings.
