Course Objectives:
Apply 3D CAD clothing software to simulate different materials, accessories, seams and embellishments. Evaluate the virtual fit, construction and visual appearance using virtual prototypes.
Target Group:
Apparel designers, Fit and Construction engineers in apparel sector, Garment technologists, pattern technologists, lecturers, instructors
Eligibility Requirements:
Attained minimum of ‘S’ pass for each subject (any subject is considered) at GCE A/L Examination AND At least 1 year work experience in an apparel organization or a higher level in academic assignments.
Course Outline:

Introduction to 3D clothing CAD systems.

Practice avatar morphing in VStitcher.

Practice 3D clothing simulation according to different textile materials, accessories, seams, and embellishments.

Practice 3D clothing simulation according to different garment construction methods.

Explain the standard operation procedures in 3D clothing simulation.

Evaluate the virtual fit and discuss relevant improvements to achieve true-to-life appearance.
