Seven students and Prof. Wang from the Department of Architecture of the Central Academy of Fine Art, Beijing, China’s most prestigious and renowned art academy visited the Department. They were on a study tour of Sri Lanka and visited the University on Wednesday the 19th of February. They made a presentation of their work in Architectural design and students of Levels 3 and 4 made presentations of their work in return. Professor Samitha Manawadu and Dr. Milinda Pathiraja made presentations on the History of Sri Lankan Architecture and Contemporary Sri Lankan Architecture respectively. The possibility of a joint design studio in the near future was discussed.
