2014 January Presentation by American Architect and visual artist Tristan Al-Haddad

A workshop was conducted by award winning American Architect and visual artist Tristan Al-Haddad for the students of Architecture on Wednesday 29th January 2014 at the Department.

Tristan Al-Haddad is an Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture at The Georgia Institute of Technology. His art work has been exhibited in venues including the Pompidou Center in France, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and The Boston Center for the. Al-Haddad’s practice investigates the relationship between material and immaterial worlds, or rather the relationship between spaces of matter and spaces of thought. The workshop on 'Parametric Design Process' for the students expressed his design philosophy in the understanding of materiality as fundamental to the design and construction of any object or space. It was an enlightening and engaging presentation that greatly benefited the students.
