The assessment of the final year “Comprehensive Design Project” (CDP) of the Bachelor of Architecture degree programme was held in October 2014. The examination was held in two stages; internal Assessment from 24th to 26th and External Moderation from 29th to 31st October 2014.
Students who faced the Viva-Voce examinations had worked on a selected architectural design project of adequate complexity for a period of six months, and each student presented and defended his/her individual design scheme through a set of drawings, 3D animations and models in the presence of the examiners leading to an in-depth discussion/critique of the architecture
The external moderators for 2014 were Professor Don Gray, Head, School of Architecture, Kent University, United Kingdom, Archt. Rajeev Kathpalia , practicing architect , Ahmadabad , India and Archt. Channa Daswatte, Chartered Architect, Sri Lanka
Out of the 53 students who faced the Viva-Voce Examinations, two outstanding students received “A+ “ grades for their design projects while 47 students were successful at the CDP.
