A conference publication titled ‘Process Parameter Optimization of Urban Biowaste Carbonization’, authored by Messrs. Hasitha Dhananjana Perera, Chathuranga Wickramasinghe, and Prof. Mahinsasa Narayana of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering was presented at the 6th International Moratuwa Engineering Research Conference (MERCon) on the 28th July 2020. This work was focused on developing a 3D computational fluid dynamics model of a continuous packed bed torrefaction reactor and optimizing its process parameters and geometry.
