A conference publication titled ‘Study on Fluidization Behaviour of Raw and Dry Sri Lankan Black Pepper’, authored by Mses. Manisha Abesekara, Kalpani Dissanayake, Gayani Jayatunga, and Prof. Padma Amarasinghe of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering of University of Moratuwa was presented at the Moratuwa Engineering Research Conference (MERCon 2020) on the 28th July 2020. This work was focused on developing an empirical mathematical correlation in order to relate Reynolds number at minimum fluidization velocity and the bed weight per unit bed cross section for pepper by conducting experimental studies to analyse the fluidization behaviour of both raw and dry black pepper at various bed weights.
