Prof. Thilini Ariyadasa from the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa, delivered an invited talk on waste-integrated microalgae bioprocessing for resource recovery and sustainable biomass production at the 3rd International Conference on Frontiers in Industrial Biotechnology (ICFIBT 2026).
Her talk highlighted advances in using nutrient-rich waste streams such as industrial and agro-industrial wastewater for microalgae cultivation and improved biomass productivity.
She also served as a Session Chair in the “Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology” track.
