The Department of Chemical and Process Engineering successfully hosted an insightful Lean Management Workshop on January 19, 2026, offering undergraduates a valuable opportunity to gain practical exposure to modern industrial practices.
The session was conducted by Mr. Namal Dharmarathne, Founder and Lean Architect of LeanXAi (Pvt) Ltd. His expertise and industry experience brought real-world relevance to the workshop. Students were introduced to key Lean methodologies through hands-on tools, industry-driven case studies, and structured problem-solving approaches, enabling them to understand how Lean principles enhance efficiency in contemporary manufacturing environments.
The workshop further strengthened the department’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry by equipping students with practical frameworks that complement their theoretical knowledge.
