The department of Chemical and Process Engineering in partnership with Haycarb PLC and the guidance of Professor Ajith De Alwis, conducted a virtual tour of the factory premises for the fresh undergraduate students of DCPE on 1st July 2022 over zoom platform. Under the current situation within the country, where physical field visits are unable to be conducted, Haycarb provided an opportunity for the students to observe and understand the production process of activated carbon utilizing their novel Virtual Tour service. Mr. Chrishan Kobbekaduwa (Divisional Manager Sales and Marketing of HayCarb PLC) along with the engineering and production team coordinated a thorough and informative session from which students enhanced their learning experience.
