Visit to AEN Palm Oil Processing (Pvt) Ltd – 14th & 16th October 2025

The undergraduates of 24 batch visited AEN Palm Oil Processing (Pvt) Ltd, where they explored large-scale palm oil production processes from sterilization and oil extraction to refining and quality control. This experience allowed them to bridge theoretical concepts from the classroom with real-world process engineering practices. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Kalindu Fernando, with Dr. Bandara Dissanayake guiding the students throughout the sessions.

Visit to FMJ Holdings (Pvt) Ltd – 23rd October 2025

The undergraduates of 24 batch also had the opportunity to visit FMJ Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, where they gained valuable hands-on exposure to polymer processing technologies including injection blow moulding, extrusion blow moulding, and feeding bottle manufacturing. The visit was organized by Dr. Kalindu Fernando where they observed hygienic plant operations and learned about industrial quality management systems, with practical insights into ISO 9001:2015 and FSSC 22000 standards.

These industry collaborations are integral to the degree program, enabling students to gain practical insight into sustainable, efficient, and quality-driven process operations, shaping them into the next generation of future-ready chemical and process engineers.
